Jordan Harvey

Health and nutrition writer. Jordan researches and writes every note in the AllMaleUp Journal — what is in a supplement, where it came from, and how to read the back of the pack.

Who writes the Journal

Jordan Harvey writes about men's health, botanical ingredients and supplement labelling for UK readers. The brief here is narrow on purpose: explain what a product actually contains, what the paperwork behind it means, and what the label is and is not allowed to say — in plain English, for men in their thirties through sixties.

Jordan also writes the men's health guides at Blue Power. The two brands are separate companies with separate products; the editorial standards below apply to both.

What you will find here

  • How to read a supplement label — mg per portion, botanical Latin names, proprietary blends, NRV footnotes
  • Batch codes, best-before dates and certificates of analysis: what they are and how to ask for one
  • The six botanicals in the AllMaleUp blend — ginseng, maca, tribulus, guarana, ashwagandha and catuaba — their species, origins and traditional context
  • UK and EU supplement rules in practice: authorised claims, the dagger footnote, and why most botanicals carry neither
  • Comparisons between products and between ingredient forms, using published amounts rather than marketing copy

Editorial standards

Every note published under this byline follows the same rules:

  • No health claims. AllMaleUp is a food supplement, not a medicine. The botanicals in the blend hold no authorised EFSA health claims, so nothing on this site says or implies that they treat, prevent or improve any condition. Where a plant's traditional use is described, it is marked with a dagger and labelled as tradition, not evidence.
  • Numbers come from the source. Ingredient amounts are quoted from the pack and the specification, not rounded up for effect. Where a figure comes from published research, the study is named and its size and design are stated.
  • Uncertainty is written down. If the evidence for something is thin, or the studies are small, industry-funded or in animals rather than people, the note says so rather than leaving it out.
  • Nothing here is medical advice. Notes are general information. Anyone on prescribed medication, or with a diagnosed condition, should speak to a GP or pharmacist before taking any supplement.
  • Dates are honest. Each note shows when it was published and when it was last revised. Revisions are made when the pack, the specification or the rules change — not to game a freshness signal.
